Olive spoon, oiled cherry wood 16 cm

This drainer was made from local cherry wood and then oiled. Cherry wood develops its characteristic reddish colour through the oiling process and the distinctive grain becomes even more pronounced. Cherry wood is used to make high-quality kitchen utensils, among other things. This olive spoon makes it easy to remove pickled olives from a jar: The olive remains in the bowl of the spoon and the oil runs out through the hole. A real relief when fishing for olives and certainly an eye-catcher at the table when serving anti-pasti. Even if you pull the spoon very steeply out of a glass or a plastic bag, the olive remains securely in the special hollow shape of the spoon and does not slide back in the way you are used to with conventional spoons. Note: This item is supplied oiled. Therefore, please avoid contact with sensitive surfaces. To ensure that you can enjoy this product for a long time, please note the following: If the oiling wears off through use and cleaning, rub the item with hot vegetable oil (tasteless) or paraffin oil (medicinal white oil, paraffinum (per)liquidum). Leave to soak in overnight and rub off excess oil. Repeat this treatment regularly in the future. Wood is a natural material and can crack under extreme conditions. For this reason, do not leave the item in water for a long time, but clean all sides with warm water and scouring powder for thorough cleaning. Then stand upright and allow to air dry.
